The Coronavirus has significantly impacted life as we know it, and there are still a lot of unknowns about what else will take place before we get through it (and we will get through it). In the meantime, we should not waste this opportunity grow in our faith, honor God, and represent him well to the world around us.
We are unable to gather on Sundays and in small groups like we normally do, so we need to be creative with the ways we function as a Jesus-centered faith community. Starting on Saturday, March 28, I hope you check in to this page every day and join us on a 15-day devotional journey toward Easter. Each morning, a new post will be uploaded that will be written for you by someone in our church.
Each devotional blog post will include a Scripture reading, a reflection on the passage, a point of application or discussion question, and something we’ll call a “bullet prayer.” A bullet prayer is a short prayer we will encourage you to offer up throughout the day.
Our hope is that though we are physically separate, we can draw near to God together and put our focus on him. As we use this tool to grow in our faith, it will encourage us to know that our other brothers and sisters in the church are doing the same thing. I’m excited to go on this journey with you!
“Blessed is the one… whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:1,3
