Team Efforts
The Committee is divided into 3 areas of interest: Global missions, Local Outreach, and Short-term mission opportunities.  We encourage a missional perspective for individuals serving the Lord at BC3. The team establishes a relationship with the missionaries and communicats with the BCCC family, encourages local and short term mission efforts, manages the BCCC mission budget, and prays for mission efforts.

 The BCCC Missions Statement

We affirm that God’s love and offer of redemption extends to all the peoples of the earth and that His name is to be witnessed among every tribe, tongue, and race.  God intends to use His people as His ambassadors in calling individuals to Himself.   We commit ourselves to work together in response to God's calling; to have a missional attitude here at Bear Creek, in our communities, across the nation, and to all peoples of the world.

Missionaries and Organizations supported by BCCC

BCCC is an active supporter of 8 full time missionaries whose efforts are reaching people in Russia, India, Indonesia, North Africa, New Orleans, Snohomish/Island/& King Counties, and Redmond and Kirkland. Find more information in the weekly Church bulletin about: Dr. T, 'Jamin L, Jon S, Brian W, Fred S, Brion F, Greg S, and Matt C.  We communicate with these missionaries, share their activities and needs with the congregation, and participate in meeting their financial needs.

We support and participate with several local mission organizations.  With Love Inc we provide and distribute food once a month.  With operations Night Watch we provide some food and serve dinners at a down town
Seattle location.

BCCC promotes and encourages involvement in short term mission efforts.  Each year the youth are involved in a summer mission.  They have been to
Mexico building houses, to Camp Big Horn in Montana helping on service projects and this past summer to New Orleans to reach out to individuals and help build houses through Habitat for Humanity. We are working on a ten day trip to Bulgaria to encourage a local church and connect with individuals in the community.

Local opportunities for outreach include: letting the community see the love of Jesus through visible actions like "Take-It-To-The-Streets," a public welcome picnic at a local park, adopt-a-road cleanup, and serving at a food bank and homeless kitchens.  We are encouraging and training individuals to be active in missional communities that help reach non-believers in their neighborhoods.  The committee is encouraging that being missional is a lifestyle and not just a church program
.

Promote a Local Outreach Activity

If you are intrested in promoting a Local Outreach Activity, contact a member of the Mission Committee and complete the request form.

Ways to get involved in mission opportunities:

  • You can join a full time missionaries’ team and provide prayer and financial support.

  • You can participate in one of the local missions outreach efforts like collecting and distributing food at the Love Inc food bank, being a part of prison ministries, joining the Awana team that is reaching children in our community.
  • You can be a part of a short term mission effort to un-reached peoples in a variety of places around the world, join the youth on their annual mission project, or express your heart for a people group and be our inspiration for mission outreach.
  • You can join the BCCC Mission committee. Be a part of the team that communicates and prays for missionaries, shares their work and needs with the church family, and encourages a heart in our church family to reach beyond our building wall to share the love and knowledge of Jesus our Savior.

If you have questions, contact one of the church staff or a member of the Mission Committee.
